Alabama Real Estate License Requirements

Remember these requirements:

  • The first requirement: you have to be a citizen of the U.S. or a lawful permanent resident
  • The second requirement: you must be 19 years old and older
  • The third requirement: you have to show proof of bona fide residency in any state in the United States
  • The fourth requirement: you will have to show proof of high school graduation or GED
  • The fifth requirement: you cannot be convicted of any sort of crime
  • One more requirement: you will need to prove that you don’t have a real estate application or license rejected or revoked in any state within the past two years
  • Only then you are allowed to pass the licensing examination.

Real Estate Broker Licensure Exam in Alabama

There are 2 parts of Real Estate Salesperson Exam in Alabama. The first part is the real estate salesperson national exam. The second part is the real estate salesperson state specific exam. The national part includes 100 questions. In order to pass the exam, you will need to answer 70 out of the 100 questions correctly (70% correct answers). You are given 3.5 hours to complete the exam.

The second part – the state specific part of the Alabama Real Estate Salesperson Exam consists of 40 questions. You need to answer 28 questions correctly (70% correct answers). You are given 1.5 hour if taken separately, or 3.5 hours if taken together with the national portion.

Real Estate Salesperson Exams in Alabama are administered by AMP Inc. at www.goamp.com. Before registering with AMP for the Alabama Real Estate Salesperson Examination, see how you can qualify for a license.

The Alabama Real Estate Salesperson tests are taken on a computer. You will receive your results right after finishing the exam. You can take a simple functioning calculator with you to use for the 10% of the exam questions.

Don’t forget to take 2 forms of ID to the exam site.

Before taking the exam you have to pay $69 registration fee and only then you are allowed to take the Alabama Real Estate salesperson exam. You will lose your fee if you reschedule for the exam more than once, or if you reschedule your exam less than two days before the scheduled exam date.
