Nevada Real Estate License Requirements

  • Trainings: 45 hour Broker Management Training and the 18 hour Nevada law requirement
  • Experience: active full-time licensed real estate broker or salesman experience for at least 2 of the 4 years
  • If there is not a 2-year experience, one must meet the testing and education requirements of a Broker
  • Exam: pass the national and Nevada state specific exams within a year of the application date. You may use your national examination results from another state but you have to meet the one year deadline.

Real Estate Broker Licensure Exam in Nevada

There are 2 parts of the Nevada Real Estate Salesperson Exam: national and state specific. National part has more questions and is more complex than state specific part. There will be such number of questions in each part of the exam:

National part: 80 questions (answer 60 questions correctly to pass this part)

State specific part: 40 questions (answer 30 question correctly to pass this part)

Time limit: 120 minutes for the national part and 60 minutes for state specific part

If you successfully pass the first part of the exam, you can take the other part during a one-year period.

You will take the exam on a computer and you will be able to see your results when you finish it. Don’t bring any books to the testing room. Arrive 30 minutes before the exam starts. Don’t forget to take 2 forms of ID with you and a calculator for the math part.

You will need to pay $100 of registration fee to take the Nevada Real Estate Salesperson Exam. The retake fee is $100 as well.
