Utah Real Estate License Requirements
- All real estate candidates must have a good reputation of honesty, reliability, security and stability
- They cannot be involved in any sort of crime during the last 5 years
- They need to have at least 3 years of real estate experience
- They have to accumulate a total of at least 60 points within the 5 years proceeding application
- They have to complete 120 hours of approved trainings at a certified Real Estate Pre-License School, where they will study: Broker Management (12 hours), Advanced Appraisal (24 hours), Advanced Finance (24 hours), Property Management (24 hours), Advanced Real Estate Law (24 hours), Utah License Law (12 hours)
- They need to pass the Broker exam

Real Estate Broker Licensure Exam in Utah
There are 2 parts of the Utah Real Estate Salesperson Exam: national and state specific. National part has more questions and is more complex than state specific part. There will be such number of questions in each part of the exam:
National part: 80 questions (answer 60 questions correctly to pass this part)
State specific part: 50 questions (answer 38 questions correctly to pass this part)
Time limit: 4 hours for the national part and state specific parts

If you successfully pass the first part of the exam, you may take the other part during 6 months period, so you don’t need to take both parts on the same day.
You can take a non-programmable calculator with you to the exam place and two forms of identification.
